Wind set to lead renewables in US

Wind power is on course to become the largest provider of renewable electricity in the US in 2019. The US Energy Information Administrator’s January 2019 Short-Term Outlook predicts wind power overtaking hydropower for the first time, rising from 96GW at the end of 2018 to 107GW by the end of 2019. By the end of 2020, wind power is expected to be generating 114GW.
